DID YOU KNOW THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS NOW CAN HAVE A CALIFORNIA DRIVERS LICENSE?
Today the idiots in Sacramento passed the law that tells every illegal who can breathe he too can have a drivers license. Illegal aliens in this case could be Mexican, Austrian or Saudi Arabian.
Is it just me, or does this pose a huge security risk for the USA? (See, the DMV can't "share" info with other government agencies. Makes you feel real warm, cozy and safe, huh?)
Homeland Security needs to weigh in on this nonsense.
ANOTHER REASON TO VOTE FOR ARNOLD
The first "Candidate Forum," a debate of California gubenatorial candidates has concluded. Among the missing were the other 128 candidates, and Arnold.
Of course, Peter Ueberroth was his usual patrician self...gosh, what a great gov he'd make. He just repeated: "Folks, there's no money," "I'd like to help you with that now, but there's no money," and my favorite of all, "There's just no money."
And Tom McClintock, the most qualified person on the whole ballot was per his best. Too bad he's so far right socially. He just can't get elected in California. Maybe later.
Cruz Bustamante, still defending his association with MECHA (wouldn't you like to be a Mexifornian too?), appears to have had a dress consultant fluff him up a bit. Underneath it all, though, he's still a third world leftist thug with his banana republic politics. By the way, he defended his huge contribution from the Indian tribes by saying he's worked with them for 20 years. Those contributions totaled $2 million dollars from the Native American Pechange Nation, a tribe of 126 of half-breeds. Huh? Using the loophole in the law is so typically Democrat Party.
The Green Party candidate, don't care to remember his name--Camejo--sounded like a third-grader during the what-I-did-last-summer thing the first day of school.
Arianna Huffington, perpetually off on another planet, told all of us about why property taxes should be raised with the following criteria: how much money you make and how much the house is worth...which I guess means she wants the county assessor to come to the house, sit at the dining room table and look for your new stuff. She didn't elaborate a whole lot.
So, there's the ballot. Except, as I said, for Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Arnold will probably be elected, if McClintock does the right thing (What Would Ronnie Do? and did with the fight against Nixon). Awnold's staff will guide and push him around like restaurant busboys with Bissells. For a while. Then, just as President Bush did, Arnold will find his Prince Hal feet and get the job done. The guy's a born winner.
THE WAR
I will say this and I don't care what anyone thinks of me: THOSE WHO PUBLICALLY CRITICIZE OUR INVOLVEMENT IN IRAQ AT THIS JUNCTURE IN THE WAR ARE IRRESPONSIBLE. And they're going to get us all killed if they get a chance at a return to power.
No, I didn't say they couldn't say what they say. I said they shouldn't say what they say. It's dangerous. Ask any serviceperson with his butt is on the line in Iraq.
Now about this question of going to war. If not now, when? One or two years, when WMDs are so prevalent in the Middle East, there's no opportunity for any kind of long term peace? Or did we want to wait until Iran finally gets that big boy up and ready to strike Israel? They're far enough away geographically to do it and not be affected. And what about Syria and Lebanon? Wanna bet they're scared now? They should be.
I'VE SAID IT BEFORE. EVERTHING'S DIFFERENT SINCE 9/11. BELIEVE IT.
How distressing is it to hear people talk about this war and today's world as if nothing has changed. There are those who have yet to realize the paradigm has totally changed, their old ideas/strategies and foreign policy that depends upon a more, shall we say, polite diplomacy? As an example, there's the picture of Madeline Albright waddling around in a dance with Kim Jong Il and his dolled-up minions while the N.K.s built their nukes right under our eyes; or how about President Clinton delivering his change-the-subject bombs on the aspirin factory; or his feckless foreign policy that frittered away at least ten opportunities to have bin Laden's head along with those of horrible, murderous warlords in Mogadischu (sp).
It's time Americans grow up. Freedom is not free.
That means: a possible selective service (draft within the next ten years).
It also means we need to accept the position of the world's greatest power with much more understanding and resolve to deal proportionately with the truth.
It's seems that some very vocal folks just can't accept the idea that America can be hit again.
How does one negotiate with terrorists? You don't; you take the war to their side of the world and kill them all, just as President Bush is doing right now.
Thanks for the read.
